How to Connect Reverse Camera

BEFORE INSTALLING!!

****DO NOT CONNECT THE YELLOW WIRE TO G5 IF G5 IS CONNECTED TO THE CANBUS!!!

THIS WILL BACK FEED 12VDC INTO THE CANBUS AND DAMAGE IT

IF YOUR UNIT USES CANBUS FOR ACCESSORIES POWER IT WILL FAIL TO TURN ON****

WARNING 1:

You must ALWAYS connect the supplied F Port adapter that comes in the black T'EYES Accessory bag, regardless if you don't have a reverse camera. This is because it has important Bluetooth and WIFI antennas on it.

WARNING 2:

Connection of the yellow line (to G5) will not be needed if you already have a canbus box that has a reverse control line from the G5 area connected to the canbus. You can visually check if this connection is there, as not all canbus boxes have this function. However we recommend disconnected G5 from the canbus and use the yellow wire to G5 G PORT if using our camera and ALWAYS do this if using the teyes 360 system or you will have issues.

WARNING 3:

When using the T'EYES camera, make sure to unplug the OEM camera harness plug to the factory reverse camera to prevent issues. If there is a seperate plug for it, it is not enough to just unplug the AV lead, unplug both ends if possible.

WARNING 4:

Mount the T'EYES camera with the logo or text facing down. If too late you can flip it in the software using this guide.

WARNING 4:

Do not use these cable splices, they are not suitable for vehicle applications and are always a significant contributor to connection issues. We recommend soldering instead.

NOTE 1:

If you have ordered a 360 system, then F port will be disabled. You will not be able to use a camera in this port unless you install the non-360 firmware to re-enable it. You can do this if you do not intend to use the 360 camera system.

NOTE 2:

If you have an existing OEM (original) reverse camera, and our supplied harness has a yellow A/V video output cable, then you can connect it to the F PORT adapter.

If our supplied harness has no yellow A/V video output for your reverse camera and you wish to retain it instead of replacing with a Sony Lens camera, then you must source a 3rd party retention adapter.
