Subaru Outback 5 (2014-2018) / Legacy 6 (2014-2017)

Its has all the features you'd ever want, but almost zero instructions for the person just wanting to replace their unit. If you have a degree in electrical engineering or know how to read a wiring diagram and know where to find the exact details of you cars harnesses and wiring diagrams, you'll be fine. That being said, I do have this experience and it was still a little tricky but got it done and I love it. Bought one for my bro to update his 2005 CRV and he loves it too. Also the bezel for the 2018 outback doesn't match. There are large gaps. I'll have to tape everything and fiberglass to make it properly seamless.

Plug and Play … Nope. Sales won’t refund my money and Tech support sends me to a tech article that has no clarity on fixing my specific issue. Loss cause at this point. Don’t buy is my advice to others…scam central

I could not get my front speakers to work and your Tech Support was very helpful. In the end I discovered that the front speakers connect through the Subaru Starlink module which was attached to the factory radio and that I had to leave it installed. All is good now and I am very happy with the radio.

It’s better than the idoing model I had previous with a lot of features. I would give it a 5 but there are a few woes. The CarPlay doesn’t always connect, the volume tab isn’t very efficient, the auto dim/ brightness is manual, the biggest issue is the unlimited data SIM card cuts out frequently.

Love it. It was a little harder to configure than expected but the great customer service sorted it out nicely.
