NOTE: If you have a OEM amplifier, you must connect the Blue AMP-C wire to BLUE AMP wire to engage the amplifier, otherwise you will have no sound.

IMPORTANT: If you have a Bose system you may experience humming in the speakers. This is because the audio signal is being double amplified. To resolve the L port 5.1 output would have to be connected instead to the speaker cables on the harness that go to the amplifier.

Teyes CC3 with Mazda6 GH 2008

Teyes CC3 2K for Mazda6 2 GH (2007-2012)-Installed on 2008 Mazda6 GH.
It has taken a lot longer than anticipated, but it now seems my system
is working well after resolving several issues and developing a few
"work arounds" along the way. Thanks Dan for providing assistance with
the problems encountered. These included the steering wheel controls
not able to be programmed (an earth connection was required to a
disconnected steering control wire), reverse camera not switching in
reverse (wiring connection problem with solder connections preferred
over crimp connections), and intermittent GPS dropouts (March 23 and
April 23 firmware issues?-Dec 22 and now May 23 firmware appears OK so far).
The unit often performs a full reboot at power up rather than a warm boot.
I have performed a forced reboot and toggled the sleep mode off and on
again in factory settings and this still happens more often than not
even when making relatively short stops. When this happens, my Radio
reverts to FM 87.5 and produces an annoying hiss. My workaround is to
add radio to auto startup. This produces the full screen radio
display which I then minimize by pressing the top left O icon.
This also allows the < and > steering buttons to change stations
otherwise the radio station doesn't change until the radio app is opened.
I mainly use Google Maps for GPS navigation. I found setting this as
the Default Nav program and also as the auto startup program results
in the top left direction instruction window being replaced by a
single green bar across the screen with minimal instructions.
My workaround was to install Sygic as the startup Nav window program.
Google maps directions then works normally and is selectable from the
Nav icon, or using Teyes Voice (eg. Navigate to x). As an aside I noticed
that even if I set Teyes voice to use Sygic as its Nav app, it still sent
commands to Google maps and opened it instead of Sygic?
Sometimes the Default nav app gets "forgotten" and needs to be selected
again in settings? The Sygic program I use crashes occassionally but does
provide offline maps and if using it as the paid app it provides the
option to set speed limit warning alarms which also adapt to school
zone times which I find useful.
My Mazda6 has a mulifunction display (MFD) above the Radio which remained
largely functional after the installation. Air conditioner information
is still displayed on the MFD as was Radio Station frequency. Time is
displayed in the Accessory position which is replaced by current
fuel consumption when the engine is running. I turned off the Air Cond
display on the Teyes since having it display for a couple of seconds
only was pointless since the MFD still displays this data normally.
Spotify works well, but has to be opened to full screen to operate,
but can be minimized and works from the music window once music has
been selected each session.
I found setting up a wifi hotspot from my phone and using the Teyes
wirelessy with all apps running directly on the Teyes unit
(rather than using wired Android Auto) worked best for me.
