Toyota Kluger / Highlander 3 XU50 (2013-2018)

Haven’t installed unit yet. While it appears simple to install, the linked video is in a foreign language and doesn’t not show all connections. Will track down a wiring diagram and get some help to install. I’m sure it’s a great unit. Just want to make sure I get it in correctly.

First of all I will say that the display and software are really nice, and work well a lot of the time. With this particular vehicle though (2015 Highlander Limited with JBL sound system), there does not seem to be a way to have clear audio and retain vehicle features. I have tried the standard setup which would be to set the canbus settings to Prado XP(M.AMP)14 but I get horribly distorted audio when set up in this way. I have had conversations with support, in which they recommend trying other canbus settings until something works. I've gotten clear audio this way, but unfortunately I lose basic functionality like controlling balance and fade (with kids in the backseat, this is critical). So I've found I either have to choose between clear audio or the ability to control balance and fade, which was not a compromise I expected with this unit. Unfortunately I can't recommend it unless they find a way to make it work with this vehicle.

I have no regrets with this unit once installed on my 2015 toyota highlander. With a sim card installed, there is no need to constantly sync your phone to the unit. I recommend the T’EYES CC3 to anyone who would like to upgrade their multimedia unit. You will never regret it.
