This is the only head unit I found that didn't come with lots of compromises. I tried phoenix automotive and to say it was a bad experience would not convey the depths of my disappointment. Their units are so far behind the times it's like comparing a Ford model T to a Tesla. Now enter the CC3 head unit, on paper it looked perfect so I ordered one for my 2019 US VW Tiguan. Once I got it, I started to test it before installing the CC3, this went as well as a divorce. The CC3 turned on but none of the canbus functions work, nothing I tried worked, I followed everything I could fine online and nothing. Great, more money in the trash I thought, so I contacted Teyes but I had very little hope that it would work. Sent a WhatsApp message but never expected a response, but to my surprise they responded after some back and forth they suggested a factory reset, I said OK but I really didn't think this would fix it. After the reset to my surprise it worked! After that it was mostly smooth sailing.
Now let me tell you why I love the CC3 and my new mates at Teyes;
1) It's the only head unit that I know of that allows voice commands to dial a number from Bluetooth.
2) You can set favorites in the Bluetooth phone book.
3) All of my OEM car settings worked.
4) Best UI I have used so far.
5) Because of the screen resolution Waze looks great not cut off like it was in the other head unit I tried.
6) Wireless Android Auto.
7) Great customer support.
Now to the bad but not really;
If you have Siriusxm you will lose it kind of, you will lose the tuner but you can use the app instead.
If you have an HD radio you will lose it but theirs so many online radio stations that I didn't really care.
You will most likely have error codes in the Car. These are codes you will only see if you scan the car other wise you will not even know. In my car I got error U105400,U112100,U111000 and B14F113. From what I can tell these codes are all due to pulling the OEM Head unit. There's no warning lights on the dash and the car runs great.
