For now i am very happy with the head unit,but unit was dilverd with a non functional can bus. ( or wrong type) Tech support helpt me out with a new one, but i am still waiting for the can bus to arrival.
After thorough benchmarking, out of three top of the line Head Units from different brands, I selected Teyes flagship CC3 2K version 6G 128G for our Fiat Ducato Motorhome.
We use it for a couple of weeks now, and I must say it is an absolute stunning device. The installation was very easy, since the Head Unit was delivered with all the required cables and components to perfectly fit in the Fiat Ducato Motorhome. Even the color of the frame matches perfect with that of the dashboard.
While driving, we used the car key to activate the Head Unit from the motor battery. When parked at a camping, a switch is used to activate the Head Unit from the Motorhome battery, without the need to use the car key. The latter mode is convenient for listening music as well as to prepare the navigation software for the next trip. Starting the Head Unit from hybernate takes about one second.
We installed Google Maps for off-line as well as on-line navigation, together with Google Assistant. We installed the provided external microphone in the center of the dashboard in order to operate Google Assistant from driver seat as well as co-driver seat.
The external microphone does a great job in here too, since we can operate from distance without the need to speak loud.
The Head Unit has a great sound quality, which can be tweaked in each and every spectrum of the sound. We also installed Waze, CamperContact and other apps from the Google Playstore.
For on-line operation, we use a wifi connection to a Mifi router, which is also mounted in the Motorhome. All music sources like Radio, Spotify, Qobuz and flac decoded music stored on USB works perfectly fine.
We also tested the provided Reverse Backup Camera, and this can also do a great job while driving backwards. We planned installing the camera in the near future.
The Head Unit is very responsive and operates in a smooth way. The user interface is really intuitive and consistent.
During operation for many days now, so far we found not any glitches or malfunction regarding the Head Unit.
Because of this, I would strongly recommend Teyes products, and specially this Head Unit with all the supplied accessories that comes with it.
Bit tricky to wire up and not yet found anyone to explain all of its functions.
But the the sound and quality of the screen is fantastic. Just need to wok out how to connect my sub Woofer!
I'm very happy with the unit so far, the quality of build is very good, all the connectors were in the box and the installation process was straight forward. Special thanks to Rachael from pre-sales support who modified my original order to make sure it would perfectly fit model of my van!
