You can use the harness even if you don't have a canbus as in my Tacoma 2nd generation 2010. Plug and play.

Amazing product. Easy installation, set up, etc. Camera quality is great!

Not bad, connects most stuff like steering wheel controls and OE reverse cam but does not connect my car and a couple of others.
