If you enjoy using a head unit that randomly shuts off, loses its sound, has frequent gps failures, has a very basic media player requiring you to purchase 3rd party software, won't play all your songs, has the radio frequently go out of tune, resets the date and time on almost a weekly basis, has the volume get stuck requiring you to jam a paper clip in the reset hole to fix the problem, and causes you to almost have an accident because you took your eyes off the road because the touch screen wasn't responding, then look no further!!! Because this is the unit for you!!!
Those things and others were my constant companion in the roughly one year of ownership of this, unit. Seriously, the happiest time i experienced owning a Teyes, is removing it and fitting my old single din Alpine unit back in!
Don't get me wrong, it looks amazing, fit beautifully into the dash and the screen was nice and clear, the packaging was nice and it was better than the cheap ebay no name version i bought previously, but it's just a pain to use. Like if you're one of those guys/girls that loves to customise and really spend a load of time setting up and precision tuning your sound systems, then you'll probably like this one. But if you just want a head unit you can just fit and get going within a short amount of time and listen to music trouble free, buy something else, anything else but one of these!! And if you still want to buy one, then buy mine!! I need to recover at least SOME of the money i spent buying the thing!!!
Dear Andrew, this order is from the 23 December 2021, if you had any issues during your warranty period you must immediately contact as. as its nearly 2 years old it is out of warranty.
Most of the issues you stated should be resolved with the latest firmware

Great product, superb screen.

- I recommend the matte glass protector, keeps it clean and sun doesnt bother the vision
There were a few problems i have encountered.
The supplied cables were defect, if i move the screen slightly the display turns off. So i'm not comfterable to remove the screen because im scared the cables will stop working. I dont know where to buy the cables or get it replaced.
The Car Link function for wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay disconnect in rare occasions, but is not happening so much that it gets annoying.
Like i said superb screen, it is definitly worth to get the 6GB version for better experience.
Oh and one more thing, the packaging was the BEST. Strong package, reinforced in the cornes. Definitly didnt expect that.
No new car with such a radio
Everything came in full set for Subaru Forester SH5 2010.
Easy install, and finished product looks factory with the provided face plate. So far it is a joy to use and learn its features.
